Black Dog - case story UK
They are a business located within a large business centre, their offices are on the ground floor and have two IT suites housing top level apple macs, approx 30 computers with values of approx #2k per machine.
Had two break ins within 2 weeks losing a total of £12,000.00 as well as the inconvience of loss of work, down time in having the computers replaced and reinstalled with current software and damage to building.
Geoff Banks had previously installed SY2000’s at previous premises and contacted SmokeCloak direct to arrange site survey. A VALI V5 and VALI V10 were quoted in the spec and installed in adjacent IT suites a week after the initial meeting, Geoff was so concerned about new attacks that he employed onsite security 24 hours aday costing a small fortune, but was sleeping uneasy with adequate protection.
The install was completed on the Friday with a full system check on the Saturday. Geoff removed the onsite security immediately relying on SmokeCloak. The Sunday night following the Saturday install, Blackdog were attacked both SCs activated and the intruders left with no equipment, ZERO losses.
Since they have had no attacks!
